BUYING IN BULK

Buying in bulk is the best way feed your family on a budget. When you buy in bulk, you are saving us time and money, and we are more than happy to pass those savings on to you! Not only are you able to save money, but you are also ensuring you are feeding your family some of the most nutritionally-dense food! If you have the freezer space, we highly recommend taking this route.

Although cooking a whole chicken takes a little getting used to, it saves you money and time while providing you with different cuts, flavors, and broth options.

When you buy a whole chicken, you buy two wings, breasts, legs, drums, and a chicken back to make the most nutritionally-dense broth you can get! Each chicken weighs approximately 4.5 lbs.

We like to use the crockpot for cooking a whole chicken. It takes a couple of minutes to season and turn the crockpot on. Let it cook, and your main course will be ready 4-6 hours later. Our other favorite way to cook it is to throw it in the oven for about an hour, depending on the size of the chicken.

Check out our blog for recipe ideas, how to part out a whole chicken, and how to EASILY and effortlessly make broth.

NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS OF PASTURE-RAISED CHICKEN:

  • Higher levels of vitamins A, E, and D because they are out in the sun and have access to bugs and grass.
  • They also have access to micronutrients, which conventional chickens do not have because they are allowed a wide variety of foods.

HOW WE RAISE OUR CHICKENS:

Our chickens are moved to fresh pastures daily. This means they are never standing in their own manure, which is a huge contributor to their overall health. They aren’t exposed to crazy levels of parasites and bacteria, like the animals raised in the conventional model. Instead, they take in the vitamins and minerals within the healthy soils which create a more nutritionally dense meat. Their access to a diverse diet ensures that we get all of the vitamins and minerals we need.
